Equine Medical Associates, Inc. was founded in 1978 with one goal in mind; To improve the overall standard of excellence in equine medicine in central Oklahoma. From this vision, EMA has grown to become one of the pre-eminent private equine practices in the country. EMA is staffed by equine surgeons, experienced field service veterinarians, graduate veterinary interns, certified veterinary technicians, assistants and hard working office personnel. EMA offers both inpatient and outpatient care, 24-hour emergency field and surgical services, advanced diagnostic technology, and the finest patient care anywhere in the United States.

EMA is located in Edmond, Oklahoma just off I-35, between exits 139 and 140.
The full service facility houses two large surgical suites, which are adjacent to fully padded induction and recovery rooms. The facility also includes two exam rooms with safe, well designed stocks equipped with pneumatic dental equipment. 28 stalls are available and outfitted for the requirements of colic, isolation and neonatal care in a fully enclosed heated center. Patient comfort is ensured for both recovery and layovers.
